Furniture Care Guide

Oiled plywood furniture is durable and aesthetic. Plywood is a natural material that can react to changes in humidity and temperature. It can shrink or expand depending on the environmental conditions. Each piece of plywood furniture has a unique look, with visible grain and knots, which adds character to it.

To care for oiled plywood furniture, use a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove dust and minor dirt. Avoid rubbing vigorously to avoid discolouration. We recommend using gentle wood care products designed for oiled plywood, such as Osmo 8026 or WISCH-FIX.

In case of minor scratches and loss of gloss, use a regenerating wax such as OSMO 3079 (matt, colorless). Regular use of wax allows you to refresh the surface of the furniture and keep it in good condition for a long time.

Deeper damage and stains may require sanding the surface and re-applying a protective oil wax. We recommend using a professional carpenter for best results. If you want to repair it yourself, be sure to thoroughly clean and sand the damaged area in the direction of the wood grain.

Regular maintenance is key to keeping your furniture in good condition. It is recommended that the first maintenance treatments be carried out after about a month from the date of manufacture of the furniture. After that, depending on the intensity of use, the furniture may require maintenance every few months.

Oiled plywood furniture is intended primarily for indoor use. Plywood is a material that reacts to changes in humidity and temperature, so it is not recommended to expose it to direct atmospheric conditions.

For the care and regeneration of oiled plywood furniture, we recommend Osmo products, such as Osmo 8026, WISCH-FIX for daily care and OSMO 3079 (matt, colourless) for surface regeneration.
