What determines the price of front replacement

The price of a single front depends on four main factors. At ogony.pl, all of these are set in the configurator, and the customer sees the cost immediately - but to understand the structure of the expense, it's worth knowing them.

• Material - lacquered Egger MDF (cheapest option), natural veneer (oak, walnut, exotic root), birch plywood (separate category, not veneer). The difference between the cheapest and most expensive material is roughly twofold.
• Surface area in m² - the price is calculated per square meter of the front, so large fronts cost more than small drawer fronts. In a typical kitchen, 30-40% of the surface area consists of lower cabinet doors, 25-30% upper doors, and the rest are drawer fronts and fillers.
• Lacquer finish - semi-matte or gloss costs the same. Double-sided lacquer (front and back in color) is a 20% surcharge on the base rate. By default, we lacquer one-sided, the back remains white - because Egger MDF in its raw form is white.
• Details - milling patterns on the front (Linea, Wiedeń, Pasmo, Rytm), integrated handles or handleless push-to-open, non-standard drillings.

Color is included - the full Farrow & Ball, RAL, and NCS palette without surcharges. The customer chooses the color after receiving the quote, based on a front sample (PLN 89, deducted from the final amount).

• Front Sample - PLN 89, always recommended before a large order. It allows you to check the material and finish in the real light of your apartment, not under a spotlight in a store. The sample cost is deducted from the final order.
• Double-sided lacquer - +20% to the rate for fronts you want lacquered on both sides. This is used where the back will be visible (island front, pantry doors visible from the living room).
• Transport - calculated after the order is completed, based on parcel dimensions. An average kitchen is 1-2 courier pallets. We ship throughout the European Union.
• Installation - self-assembly. The fronts come with pre-drilled holes for original IKEA hinges, so installation involves unscrewing the old fronts and screwing on the new ones. Average kitchen: 2-4 hours of work.

23% VAT is included in the ranges given above - these are gross amounts that the customer sees on the invoice. For B2B orders from the EU, we apply reverse charge VAT - after providing the EU VAT number.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Is double-sided lacquer included in the budget ranges? No, the amounts given assume single-sided lacquer (front color, back white Egger MDF). Double-sided lacquer is a 20% surcharge on the rate for the front on which it is to be applied. Most customers choose double-sided only for a few exposed fronts.

Is the PLN 89 sample truly deducted from the order? Yes. After the quote is accepted and the order is paid, the sample amount is subtracted from the final invoice. If the customer decides not to place an order, the sample remains a cost of PLN 89 - but we do not refund it.

How long does order fulfillment take? 6 weeks from acceptance of the quote and payment being credited to the proforma. Each front is produced to specific dimensions; we do not sell from stock. During periods of increased interest (autumn, beginning of the year), the time may extend by 1-2 weeks.

What if I don't know if I have FAKTUM or METOD? Check the hinges: FAKTUM has a metal base screwed into the side of the cabinet, METOD has a plastic UTRUSTA clip-on hinge.
