IKEA FAKTUM Front Replacements - 2026 Model and Dimension Catalog
IKEA stopped selling FAKTUM fronts in 2014. If you have a kitchen from 2002-2014 and your fronts are falling apart, have yellowed, or you're simply tired of them – you won't find these models in the IKEA catalog anymore. This is a common scenario: the cabinet frames continue to work, but you need to find fronts elsewhere.
In this article, you will find a complete list of FAKTUM models that IKEA sold for 12 years, as well as three realistic avenues for finding replacements – from used ones on Allegro, to premium Superfront, to custom-made fronts at ogony.pl. FAKTUM - why you can't buy these fronts at IKEA
FAKTUM is an IKEA kitchen system sold from the early 2000s to 2014. It was replaced by METOD, which has different hinges (plastic UTRUSTA clip instead of a screw-in metal plate) and different front dimensions. This is not a cosmetic change – FAKTUM fronts do not fit METOD carcasses and vice versa.
After 2014, IKEA gradually sold off its stock and discontinued all FAKTUM models. Currently, you will only find METOD fronts in the IKEA catalog – even if the design looks identical to your ABSTRAKT or ADEL, the dimensions and drill holes are different.
What does this mean in practice? If you have a FAKTUM kitchen, you have three real options: search the secondary market (Allegro, OLX), buy a premium replacement from a manufacturer like Reform or Superfront, or order custom-made fronts – as we do at ogony.pl. Each of these paths is described below.

Dimensions are the second key element after model identification. Without exact millimeters, a custom manufacturer will not make anything that fits.

Standard drill hole for hinge: ø 35 mm deep 13 mm, 96 mm from the edge. This is a universal furniture standard in Europe - the same as in METOD and most custom manufacturers.
Three ways to find a FAKTUM replacement
Each makes sense in a different scenario. The choice depends on your budget, time, and how many fronts you want to replace.
Path 1 - secondary market (Allegro, OLX)
Here you will find original FAKTUM fronts from kitchen demolitions. Prices are usually 30-150 PLN per front, sometimes entire sets of used kitchens for 500-1500 PLN.
When it works: if you are replacing 1-3 damaged fronts and want to match the rest of the cabinets exactly. Or if you don't care about newness - a kitchen used for 5 years with new used fronts for another 5 years is OK.
When it doesn't work: missing sizes (the less popular the model, the harder to find), surface damage (scratches, stains, yellowed areas), color mismatch (after 10 years, the lacquer "aged" differently in different kitchens).
Risk: no warranty, difficult returns, self-transport.
Path 2 - premium custom-made (Superfront, Reform)
These companies specialize in premium fronts for IKEA - Superfront from Sweden, Reform from Denmark. Premium price (several times higher than mid-range manufacturers), designer patterns (architects collaborating with the brand), delivery to Poland after 4-7 weeks.
When it works: if you want a specific design from the Superfront/Reform lookbook and have a budget of 25-50 thousand PLN for the entire kitchen. This is a product for an architectural client.
When it doesn't work: budget below 15 thousand PLN for fronts, need for quick execution in weeks (not months), non-standard dimensions outside the catalog.
Path 3 - ogony.pl (custom-made fronts in the mid-range)

What exactly you order at ogony.pl as a FAKTUM replacement
A FAKTUM replacement is not "the same front, just newer". It's a new front in FAKTUM dimensions in your chosen pattern and color. Four decisions you need to make:
- Dimension - accurate to the millimeter (60×125 cm, etc.). The FAKTUM standard is in the table above, but your front might have been unusual (bevel, low cabinet, island).
- Material - lacquer, natural veneer, or birch plywood. Lacquer accounts for 80% of our FAKTUM orders because it offers full color flexibility.
- Front pattern - Smooth (simplest), Linea (thin frame), Rytm (grooved), Wiedeń (classic framed in Bodbyn style), Witryna (with glass). Full catalog of patterns at ogony.pl.
- Color - Farrow & Ball (150+ shades), NCS (1950+), RAL (200+). All palettes included in the price.
The most common replacement for old white ABSTRAKT? A Smooth front in semi-matte lacquer, All White from Farrow & Ball or NCS S 0500-N. The most common replacement for wooden ADEL? A Smooth front in oak veneer or Muskato Root. Choose a front sample to see the material and color live - the amount is deducted from the production order.

Three common mistakes when ordering FAKTUM replacements
The most common mistakes made by customers trying to configure a replacement themselves. Each costs time and money.

Confusing FAKTUM with METOD. A customer orders a front in 60×80 cm dimensions thinking they have METOD, receives the front and it turns out the cabinet is FAKTUM (60×70 cm). The front won't fit the carcass. Prevention: three tests from our article on system recognition (kitchen year, hinge, dimensions).

Drilling for the wrong hinge. A customer orders a smooth front without drill holes, tries to drill the holes for the hinge themselves - and places them in incorrect locations. Standard ø 35 mm depth 13 mm, 96 mm from the edge - otherwise the hinge sits crooked. Prevention: order the front with drill holes (we do them as standard), indicate the distance from the edge in the order.

No sample before a large order. A customer orders 18 fronts in Hague Blue Farrow & Ball seen online, receives the fronts and it turns out that this particular blue looks completely different in their kitchen (lighting, contrast with the countertop, adjacent walls). Prevention: always get a front sample before a large order - the amount is deducted from the final quote.

Do you have all FAKTUM models (ADEL, ABSTRAKT, etc.) in your offer? No - we make custom fronts in our designs (Smooth, Linea, Rytm, Pasmo, Wiedeń and others), we do not reproduce specific IKEA models one-to-one. We make functional replacements - meaning a front in FAKTUM dimensions, in your chosen material and color, compatible with FAKTUM hinges.
Do ogony.pl fronts fit my FAKTUM carcass? Yes. The standard hinge drilling is universal (ø 35 mm depth 13 mm, 96 mm distance). We drill for FAKTUM hinges as standard - the same type as in the original front. The front is mounted exactly the same way as the original.
What colors are available and are there surcharges? Farrow & Ball (150+ shades), NCS (1950+), RAL (200+). All palettes are included in the price - no surcharges for unusual colors. Custom matching to any color chart upon request.
Is the front sample refundable? The sample itself is not refundable (it's a custom-made product). But the fee for the sample is deducted from the value of the production order - meaning when you place an order, you effectively get the sample for free. The sample arrives in 12 business days.
How much does it cost to replace all the fronts in a FAKTUM kitchen? The price depends on the number of fronts, dimensions, material, and pattern. What is the lead time? 7 weeks from payment confirmation. Plus 1-2 weeks for measurement, material selection, sample, and logistics. Realistically, from the first email to installation, the fronts will be with you in 7-9 weeks.
